Nicholas received his B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Marquette University in 2014. During that time he focused on molecular plant biology and molecular oncology.

He is currently an M.S. student in environmental engineering at Marquette University. His work involves the anaerobic degradation of bioplastics to enhance biomethane production used for renewable energy or further production of biopolymers.
